The Marquis is a shielded four-way center channel engineered to solve what most center speakers get wrong. Dual 15″ low mass composite pulp woofers in an open air configuration triple the effective radiating diameter through the lower midrange, nearly a tenfold increase in radiating surface for vocals that sound fuller, richer, and more natural. A 7″ Hexacone KEVLAR midrange in its own PVC subenclosure hands off at 3000 Hz to a 1.25″ silk dome tweeter in a custom acoustic lens, while a horizontally mounted dual pole piece ribbon driver delivers precise, delicate high frequency detail. Designed specifically for placement above a video display, its vertical polar pattern tilts gently downward for even coverage across seated listeners, and a centrally placed midrange driver minimizes the horizontal comb filtering common to other center channels, for smooth, accurate response at every seat.
