I would like to share with my friends the news that my father-in-law and former business partner, Jacob Albright, passed away last Wednesday. Jake cofounded Legacy Audio with me in 1983 and was a big part of the company’s growth in manufacturing operations until he retired in 1997. Thereafter, visitors to Legacy would see Jake coming in the office daily to drop off mail, perform grounds keeping and run the occasional errand between his coffee stops.

A life long entrepreneur, Jake built hundreds of homes and thousands of loudspeakers. Wearing his shop apron and brandishing a chisel, Jake was portrayed in a number of national ads for our company as the stubborn Dutch craftsman, Jacob E. Albright.

Jake remained active and in good health until recently, while still retaining his sense of humor, glistening blue eyes and wry smile. At the age of 93, Jake left a solid legacy behind. We’ll all miss him.
