"Mastering engineer Herb Powers, who has used the Legacy subs extensively at the Hit Factory in New York, said a pair of the Legacy Point Ones put out "massive" amounts of clean, 35 Hz and under bass. He recently mastered several Hip Hop recordings using the Point Ones. Powers noted that using a separate sub that can go well below 20 Hz is also useful as an analytical tool for finding sonic anomalies, such as very low frequency pops, which are not as audibly apparent in closefield monitors.
